Useful resources

Faith at Home - national campaign from the Church of England supports the faith development and pastoral care of children and young people. Resources and activities are available on different themes aimed at school leaders, parents and church leaders.

Series Three (Spring / Summer 2021) on how can we be the change we want to see in the world? Please use link above and select school leader, parent or church leader.

Series Two (autumn 2020) on how do we flourish together - each session will centre around an encounter Jesus has with someone in the Bible. There will be resources for Years Reception-Year 4, Years 5-8 and Years 9-13.

Oak National Academy - the online classroom provides a sequenced plan of video lessons and curricular resources for teachers, as well as parents and their children.

National Literacy Trust - Access to resources for early years, primary and secondary school.

DfE: List of online education resources for home education - The list includes subject-specific resources for: English; Maths; Science; PE; Wellbeing; Special educational needs and disabilities (SEND); and are currently being offered for free.  There is also guidance on how to access school-led webinars on remote education to help share good practice - available here.

UCL: Free online learning resources -  University College London has compiled a list of resources helpful to teachers, school leaders, parents/carers and young people.

Education Endowment Foundation resources for schools and parents - includes tools for schools to help support home learning, early years support for schools, best evidence on supporting students to learn remotely and research examining the potential impact of school closures on the attainment gap

Leadership resources - from the Ambition Institute - themes include promoting equality, school culture, developing others, raising aspirations of children, finding and keeping staff, headteacher impact, engaging parents and wellbeing. (The Ambition Institute is a graduate school for teachers, school leaders and system leaders, serving children from disadvantaged backgrounds, whose programmes aim to support educators at every stage.)

Training webinars - The Ambition Institute run a series of free practical training webinars and virtual roundtables to address the current challenges schools are facing and support teachers and school leaders during and after the coronavirus outbreak.

Collective worship ideas - Gemma Taylor (Schools' Adviser) has put together some ideas for the autumn term 2021

Resources for RE - support through the coronavirus crisis - RE Today, in parentship with NATRE, have produced a series of free, quality-assured online resources to support parents and their children with the provision of RE activities for use during the coronavirus crisis. Includes seven resources for each Key Stage including home learning activities about Easter, Bible stories and other festivals.

Child wellbeing

The Psychology and Therapeutic Services Team (SCC) supports emotional well-being, mental health, behaviour and learning on an individual, group, whole school or organisational basis.
