Visit our pages below to find out who has benefitted from the Growth Fund.  The Growth Fund is there to support our churches to engage creatively in mission.  As a diocese we are focused on Growing in God in depth, influence, number and younger, creating flourishing congregations making a difference (based on the Five Marks of Mission agreed by the Anglican Communion in 1984).   

 


Celtic Spirituality | All Saint’s Church, Rede

All Saint’s Church, Rede, used their £250 grant to fund resources towards a Celtic Spirituality and Prayer day


Harvest & Advent Messy Church | Thingoe Deanery

St Peter’s Church, Benefice of Bury St Edmunds St Mary with St Peter, were given a grant of £300 to fund their Messy Church events


Summer Messy Church Mornings | Upper Alde Benefice

Upper Alde Benefice used their £500 Growth Fund to put on Messy Church mornings


Stourhead Benefice | Mission to Children

Stourhead Benefice used their Growth Fund grant to fund their “Mission to Children” project.


‘The Grumpy Owl' and the 'Joy of Christmas’ tours | Blyth Valley Churches

Blyth Valley Churches used their Growth Fund to work alongside local schools to deliver two different workshops, “The Grumpy Owl” and “The Joy of Christmas” respectively.


St Mary’s Church, Bury St Edmunds, “Christmas through the Keyhole"

St Mary’s Church, Bury St Edmunds, use their £1000 grant to fund their “Christmas through the Keyhole” project.

St Michael’s Baby and Toddler Group | Martlesham with Brightwell

Martlesham with Brightwell received a grant of £1500 to assist with the launch of their toddler group in January 2025, which immediately attracted large numbers.

St Mary’s Spud Club, St Mary’s Capel and St John’s Great Wenham

St Mary’s Church, Capel, held their inaugural “Spud Days”, spanning across two days in the summer of this year, on 28 and 29 July using their £400 growth fund.

Friday Club at St Andrew’s Church, Melton

St Andrew’s Church, Melton, used their funding to help build their Friday Club, a club aimed at providing an inter-generational time of fellowship with a gentle introduction to church.
