Celtic Spirituality | All Saint’s Church, Rede

All Saint’s Church, Rede, used their £250 grant to fund resources towards a Celtic Spirituality and Prayer day, which took place on October 22nd October 2025, led by Archdeacon David Williams.  The day was attended by 25 people, eight of which were from outside their normal worshipping community.  It was a great success, with positive feedback and exceeding expectations.

Archdeacon David Jenkins gave an inspiring and stimulating day, from which a key message influencing the church’s growth plans was the appeal of Celtic Spirituality to younger people.

As the parishes continue to develop their own growth plans, the point about young people and Celtic Worship will play an important part.  It is anticipated that their growth plans will continue to develop over the coming year and beyond.

As a Benefice resource, books were purchased from the Iona Community Wild Goose Publications.  The Rector and Elders now draw on these resources and make use of them, where appropriate, in worship across the Benefice.

It is intended that Celtic worship within the Benefice will continue for the years to come.
