A Suffolk market town was “buzzing with energy” as it hosted its first ever autumn fayre.
The community in Eye came together in the October sunshine to mark the church’s inaugural autumn celebrations last weekend, alongside the town’s art exhibition and craft fayre.
Activities on offer at the church included a scarecrow competition and dog show, while local people put on a catwalk inside the church.
Town rector the Revd Dr Guy Sumpter also played his 20 keyless street organ as part of the celebrations.
The Revd Dr Sumpter said the town was “buzzing with energy”.
He added: “It was wonderful to see everyone come together. Large numbers of people explored the church inside and out as we welcomed everyone to relax with a coffee and cake, and I am most grateful to all who helped and supported the event in so many different ways.”
