21 hours per week
£17,436 per annum (£29,061 full time equivalent)
The Diocese of Ipswich and St Edmundsbury (DBF) has a number of committees, including Finance, Governance, Bishops Council and Synod, which each have their own calendar of regular meetings and play a key role in the smooth running of the Diocese. To that end, we are seeking a well-organised, confident and detail-conscious Co-ordinator to both guide and support these committees and their membership.
Under the direction of the Diocesan Secretary and in collaboration with their PA you will engage with The DBF’s Senior Leadership Team, Bishops, Archdeacons, Committee Chairs and Diocesan Registrar to support and organise committee meetings in a timely and efficient manner. You will assist the Diocesan Secretary in the planning and delivery of diocesan governance and assist with oversight and maintenance of the DBF policies, support electoral registration duties and maintain the Diocesan risk register.
By default, to be successful in this role, you will need proven experience of operating in a similar environment of supporting formal committees or Boards and ensuring compliance with regulations. This may have been gained in either the public, private, or voluntary sector. Beyond this, your personal capabilities are more important than your experience with excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and respond to change in an effective and positive manner, self-confidence and a proactive approach to organising yourself and others being key.
