All Saints Church, Kesgrave, hosted a wonderful harvest celebration with the aid of their grant.
Taking place on the 7-8 October, dozens of people contributed their time and talents to help bring the whole festival to fruition. The event proudly displayed a beautiful assortment of flowers, fruit and vegetables across the porch, chapel and church, including one from their sister church in Little Bealings – produce from this display had been taken across to Playford for their harvest service. Straw bales were present in the driveway leading up to the porch along with a full size, homemade scarecrow to help set the tone of the festival.
Also featured was a “ Harvest Farm” created by the Year 6 Cedarwood Primary School pupils, complete with pond, tractor, outbuildings and backdrop.
Good quality refreshments from Martins' Bakery in Woodbridge Road were provided for attendees, as well as plenty of activities including Morovian Bread Dough modelling for children (courtesy of Marie Grueberova), musical support from Rob Lewis Music in Dobbs Lane, a Talent Concert where participants from all over the world took part in, and even a teddy zip wire from the tower.
The general theme of the weekend was “Talent & Community” which was definitely well achieved!
