Diddy Disciples – St Mary the Virgin, Bacton

The “Diddy Disciples” group at St Mary the Virgin, Bacton, has been running for 2 years so far, with the funding in the first year originally being self supported. The Growing in God growth funding enabled the second year to go ahead smoothly – books, puppets, nativity sets and Noah’s ark have all been purchased!

Each set will be scripted and stored for a 2 year cycle, although some of the stories are done annually. The shows are made to be very adaptable, and often change somewhat to suit their audience’s age accordingly – the younger the audience the more active the approach is.

It is a lovely, relaxed and friendly groups involving mums and grandmas at the moment and a few church helpers.

Two of the members of Diddy Disciples have been baptised and one of the parents was also baptised at the end of August.

The project is planned to continue throughout the year, and during holiday seasons siblings of the Diddy Disciples are also invited to come along.
