Visit our pages below to find out who has benefitted from the Growth Fund.  The Growth Fund is there to support our churches to engage creatively in mission.  As a diocese we are focused on Growing in God in depth, influence, number and younger, creating flourishing congregations making a difference (based on the Five Marks of Mission agreed by the Anglican Communion in 1984).   

 


Real Christmas Tree Festival | St Peter’s and St Mary’s Church, Stowmarket

St Peter’s and St Mary’s Church, Stowmarket, used their funding of £1500 to provide real Christmas trees for a Christmas tree festival.

Craft bags and Christmas Gift bags | St Mary’s Church, Pakenham

St Mary’s Church, Pakenham, received a growth fund of £500 to purchase supplies for Craft and Christmas bags for children and the elderly in the benefice.


Bringing Christ Home for Christmas | North Samford

North Samford Benefice were given a grant amount of £450 for their Bringing Christ Home for Christmas Project.


Children in Church | Stour Valley Benefice

The initial Summer project was extremely well attended with 27 children and 14 adults, with there being some adaptation to cater to the younger than expected age group.


St Nicholas Party | Barrow

Five tables of activities ranging from making model St Nicholas figures out of toilet rolls and stick on cotton wool beards, star and wreath making and decorating and more.

Creation Prayer Trail | Barrow

A beautiful, sunny day in early October hosted Barrow School pupils for a special Creation Prayer Trail around the churchyard.

Corner Café in Debenham outreaches to 11-17 year old

Corner Café was started in May 2024 as a safe and fun place for young people to meet and relax together.


Barrow Benefice | Fruits of the Spirit Project

The Barrow Benefice churches were awarded a £1500 grant for their “Fruits of the Spirit” project, which entailed multiple events and smaller projects all designed to outreach and strengthen the bonds between churches and their communities.

Stourhead Benefice | Mission to Children

9th February 2026

Stourhead Benefice used their Growth Fund grant to fund their “Mission to Children” project.

‘The Grumpy Owl' and the 'Joy of Christmas’ tours | Blyth Valley Churches

9th February 2026

Blyth Valley Churches used their Growth Fund to work alongside local schools to deliver two different workshops, “The Grumpy Owl” and “The Joy of Christmas” respectively.

St Michael’s Baby and Toddler Group | Martlesham with Brightwell

14th November 2025

Martlesham with Brightwell received a grant of £1500 to assist with the launch of their toddler group in January 2025, which immediately attracted large numbers.
