I have been ordained for over 30 years now and have been in the diocese for over ten years. I was ordained in Ely Cathedral and served the first of my two curacies in Cambridge before moving to Reading. I then served in the north of England, in the dioceses of Blackburn and Carlisle. I served two incumbencies, one in a Blackpool housing estate and then in leafy Preston where I was also Rural Dean.
I was Director of Education for Carlisle Diocese and a Residentiary Canon at Carlisle Cathedral before moving to Suffolk in 2010.
I have loved being in this wonderful county and being the Archdeacon of the best archdeaconry in the Church of England!
I have particular responsibility for Governance and Church Buildings working in close collaboration with my other archidiaconal colleagues.
I also have strong academic interests, specialising in the early medieval period, and in particular upon early Irish monastic topography and notions of holy space.
