Great Finborough Church is re-opening for Worship. We are very glad to be able to welcome you back for worship in our church for various services this summer. Throughout our Benefice some churches remain closed but, as one of the larger church buildings, we are able to welcome you for Sunday services on a number of different occasions.

Throughout our Benefice, each week there will be an 11am service of Holy Communion in one of the larger churches (please contact the churchwarden to book your place) as well as a 9.30am Zoom service that people are welcome to attend from wherever they are. Weather permitting, Evening services will take place in all of the smaller churches throughout the summer. Please check the summer service list (here) to find a service near you.

Churches currently open for private prayer are: St Mary's Combs: Wednesdays 2.30-4.30pm (unless a service is taking place)

To join us for Sunday worship on Zoom or in church - contact Revd Canon Pauline Higham for details

Please see the News or Coronavirus Precautions pages for details of the most recent guidelines and advice.

The Victorian spire of St Andrew's is a prominent feature on the landscape of the area, drawing the eye to the virtually re-built parish church.  It is one of seven churches in the Combs and Finborough Group comprising churches in Combs, Great and Little Finborough, Buxhall, Onehouse, Harleston and Shelland. Like all of the churches in the group it joins together in various benefice services and activities whilst also maintaining its own personality.  Visit us at: Facebook or our website.

The parish of Great Finborough: St Andrew is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of St.Edmundsbury & Ipswich’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
