Growth funding Case Study Tostock Christmas Packs

Last Christmas, Tostock Benefice received £200 Growing in God Growth fund money to start their Christmas goodie bag project - aimed at families and children to give them something to put a smile on their face and keep busy with over the holidays. The packs were tailored according to the age of the children - so there would be something suitable for all ages.

Each pack included high-quality craft materials and activities that let children get in touch with their creative side, as well as chocolate and the It Begins in Bethlehem book from The Bible Society. It also helped strengthen the relationships between the benefice and families through lockdown.

The project recieved lots of positive feedback from families;

"I'm not quite sure who to thank for a wonderful bag of goodies that arrived on our doorstep. The children were thrilled with all the activities inside and immediately set to work on making Christmas cards. It is such a kind thought and a lot of work has clearly gone into them. We shall have great fun reading the Christmas rhyme, an excellent idea and making the rest of the crafts."

Following this success, the Benefice is planning on applying for another funding for Easter so another pack can be provided for families.
